High Performance Teams - 3 hours
Do you want employees to be more empowered to handle crisis situations and make decisions quickly with customers? Do your team leads or supervisors have the skills to manage team dynamics and guide groups through problem solving and decision-making? Does everyone know what the ground rules are and the expected behaviors so that they all can perform effectively? High performance work teams are not self-created - members need ongoing motivation, training, and team building activities. In this workshop, learn the value of high performance work teams and determine if and how they can work in your organization. Take your team through some activities that will help them manage themselves and their projects.

Time Management - 2 hours
Employees and managers in both the public and private sector have to do more with less and they have to manage multiple projects and tasks. After you determine what your goals are, learn to use some basic tools to manage your tasks and projects and to create work/life balance.

Stress Management - 2 hours
The daily stress of jobs, families, and interactions with coworkers or supervisors can effect the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our lives. Learn how to bring your life's activities and focus into balance with practical tools and relaxation exercises. Discover how some simple time management techniques and communication skills can eliminate stress. Make your overall well-being a priority today so that it doesn't cost you or your organization in the future.

Conflict Resolution - 3 hours
The number one concern expressed by employees and management is conflict in the workplace. Not necessarily major battles, but little irritabilities, poor management decisions, differences in personality styles, and a diverse workforce can create daily conflicts. The impact of conflict ranges from stress and health problems to qualified employees leaving the organization. Open communication and facing your challenges is not easy, but there are some tools and techniques that can resolve conflict easily without offense, especially if the entire team is trained in the skills. This workshop will make a major impact on your organization and on your families.

Human Resources for Supervisors - 3 hours
This seminar covers the basics of federal law and California state labor and employment law. Upon completion, you will understand your role in legal issues such as employment-at-weill, wrongful discharge, employee discrimination, employee privacy issues and unlawful harassment in the workplace. Help your organization maintain a fair and positive working environment and avoid costly lawsuits by learning how to manage employment policies and practices.

Coaching for Performance - 6 hours
The greatest challenge supervisors and managers face is managing a diverse workforce. Employees have individual work styles and skills. Learn how to determine if it is motivation, ability, or the organizational barriers that is preventing an employee from being productive or effective; then apply the right coaching technique to move them in a positive direction. This course teaches you how to apply situational leadership methodologies to multiple areas of management and how to move people from needing to be micro-managed to being empowered and self-starters. Learn how to adjust your own style to match the style of others and how to determine when the coaching efforts need to end and the termination process begins.

Interpersonal Communications - 3 hours
The key to interpersonal communication is understanding each other's communication styles, practicing active listening, and communicating in ways that do not create defensiveness or offenses. In this workshop you will practice skills through role play and activities to improve the communications in your organization between coworkers, employees and supervisors, and customers. You will also learn how to influence others for results.

Team Decision Making and Problem Solving - 4 hours
Effective teams know how to solve problems effectively and quickly. They can make quick decisions in a crisis and can implement process improvements to prevent future crisis situations. In this workshop teams and team leads will learn how to choose the right tool to solve the problem. Problem solving tools include brainstorming, force-field analysis, flow charting, mind-mapping, fish bone evaluation, and more.

Meeting Management - 2 hours
Whether you are the head of a committee or a manager, effective leadership means conducting effective meetings. Learn what people want most out of meetings and how you can get the most from a meeting with an effective agenda and meeting management skills and tools.

Managing Diversity and Valuing Diversity - 4 hours
Both of these courses introduce employees and managers to new ways of thinking about the people they work with. Through positive interactive activities, participants learn to appreciate and value differences from communication and personality styles to ethnic, culture, and religious backgrounds. For non-traditional jobs, such as firefighters, police officers, or construction, a special emphasis is placed on gender differences. Employees and managers discover the power of diverse work teams and learn skills to better communicate and overcome differences.

Managing Change - 4 hours
The ability to manage change towards avoiding chaos is a valuable skill that enables leaders to excel in their professional and personal life. This course teaches survival skills for managing and implementing changes and helps you understand the impact of change in organizations and how you can coach others through resistance to change.

In today's business, the supervisor is the "main link" between the company's goals and the people who must accomplish these goals. Because of the functions of the supervisor, and the major role he or she plays, it is obvious that good supervisors are the key to the success of any organization. Key topics include goal setting, action planning, leading for results, managing time and meetings, motivation, communications, decision making, and problem solving.
